Study Rooms
There are nine group study rooms located throughout the Law Library. Group study rooms are designated for the use of two or more persons, and may be reserved for three continuous hours per day. You may continue to use the room unless another group has a reservation for the room. A study group may only reserve one room per day. Reservations may be made in person up to 72 hours in advance and 24 hours in advance by phone. Please call the Public Services Desk at 216-687-2250 to make a reservation. Your reservation for a group study room will be canceled if you are late 30 minutes or more for your scheduled time. The room will then be made available for use by others and can be reserved by someone else. A member of the Public Services staff must sign-off on your reservation. To reserve a study room, please stop by the Public Services desk and bring your Viking card.

Good luck on your exams.

Tax Day - The Good Old Days

Schuyler M. Cook | April 16, 2007 - 14:10

Since Tuesday, April 17, 2007 looms for procrastinators as this year's version of tax day, the following web site should cause us all to pause.

Courtesy of the Library of Congress, viewing the 1862 Federal Income Tax Return (complete with instructions) might make us long for its use as a model for tax reform.

Totally Online Journal of Law and Health

Laura E. Ray, Educational Programming Librarian, laura.ray@law.csuohio.edu | April 02, 2007 - 18:57

The Cleveland-Marshall College of Law Journal of Law and Health has transitioned to an online publication. Starting with volume 20, due to be published this Spring, the journal will be available on the Journal of Law and Health web site. To commemorate this online event, the Journal also redesigned its web site. Key features of the new web site include links to the current issue, archives, decisions citing Journal articles, information on the Journal, Journal staff, Journal Lecture Series, Membership information, and submission information. This is a fine example of student initiative and excellence here at the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.

April 19th "Succeed At Your Legal Job" Seminar

Laura E. Ray, Educational Programming Librarian, laura.ray@law.csuohio.edu | April 02, 2007 - 18:13

On Thursday, April 19th, 2007, at 12noon, in the Law Library Faculty Presentation Room, Law Librarians from Cleveland area law firms and court libraries will join our Law Librarians to present a "Succeed At Your Job" seminar. [The Law Library Faculty Presentation Room is on the base level of the Law Library.] Law students participating in this 60-minute seminar will discuss practical advice and guidance for succeeding in their legal jobs, as well as receive information packets on our Law Library services and resources. Speakers will include Christine Stouffer, Director of Library Services at Thompson Hine, and Irene Milan, Librarian at the U.S. Courts Library, and there will be plenty of time for students to ask questions about their own particular needs and issues. Lunch will also be provided! To help ensure we will have sufficient seminar materials and refreshments for you, be sure to register for the "Succeed At Your Job" seminar on April 19th by contacting Laura E. Ray, Educational Programming Librarian at X6880 or laura.ray@law.csuohio.edu.
