Interlibrary Loans: Now Even Faster!

The Law Library is now able to get Interlibrary Loan articles electronically delivered via Odyssey, the OhioLINK Electronic Document Delivery service. As you may know, OhioLINK has a vast collection of electronic journals available through its Electronic Journal Center (EJC). However, many journals are not available via the EJC, and articles often need to be ordered through an Interlibrary Loan service. This is where Odyssey comes in. Interlibrary Loan articles ordered from OhioLINK institutions used to take an average of 3 days to arrive at the Law Library. With Odyssey, articles are received the moment they are transmitted by the OhioLINK lending library.

To make an Interlibrary Loan article request, Cleveland-Marshall College of Law faculty and students simply fill out the Interlibrary Loan Copy Request Form available through the Law Library's Interlibrary Loan Web site. You can also stop by the Law Library's public services desk to complete a form. As usual, Law Library staff will notify you when we receive your article. Whenever possible, we will get your article delivered electronically via Odyssey. If requested, we can even attach a "pdf" version of the document to an E-mail. Just indicate in the comments section of the Interlibrary Loan Copy Request Form that you would like an electronic version sent via E-mail.

Please remember, if the article you need is only available outside the state of Ohio, it will take an average of 5 to 8 days to be received, unless the institution supports Odyssey or another electronic delivery method (such as E-mail).
