The American Bar Association launched the Media Alerts on Federal Courts of Appeals Website. , which contains unbiased summaries of newsworthy and legally significant cases. The summaries include pending cases, not just those with a final opinion.
After clicking on a circuit on the map, you can search for summaries by area of law, case name, circuit, date of opinion, date or keyword. The database currently contains only third, fifth and ninth circuit cases. Email alerts for new summaries are available with free registration. (Thanks to Legal Research Plus.)
Don't forget about subscription current awareness services the library services makes available to C-M students and faculty, such as U.S. Law Week/Supreme Court Today (BNA) and other BNA services (Sign up for BNA Current Awareness Services)as well as current awareness via CCH Intelliconnect.
Also consider using the free Findlaw RSS feeds . There are feeds for each federal circuit and for some state courts (but not Ohio).
