pattern jury instructions issued by state and federal judiciaries, as well as other sources when those standard instructions do not cover your situation. Other sources include books with jury instructions on certain topics, databases of actual jury instructions filed with the court and looking for jury verdict language in case opinions. You can even find jury instructions in the old litigation standbys, Am Jur Forms Pleading and Practice, Am Jur Trials and Am Jur Proof of Facts, both in print and on Westlaw. If you plan on practicing law in Ohio, you may want to know that the Ohio State Bar Association has its own special database of jury instructions on Casemaker, which supplements the standard Ohio Jury Instructions.| « | November 2009 | » | ||||
